Default New to rotaries, and sports cars in general

Hey guys, I'm just in the process of buying an 06 RX-8 GT. It's the first sports car I've owned, (certainly the first rotary) although I've driven a few here and there. I mostly want to learn how to drive and maintain a rotary properly, I don't have much interest in serious engine tuning.

I have a fair understanding of piston engines, but really know only the basics about how a rotary works.

Looking forward to being a part of the forum! Hoping to learn some stuff here.

Cheers!

You have to drive it hard occasionally, it's good for the engine. A redline a day keeps the mechanic away, something like that.

If you want to have fun and learn how to handle your car, find the closest autocross group and participate.
