What's up guys, most of the posts on rx7club are out dated so I figured I would give here a try. Just bought my 85 base model 5spd about 4 months ago. Had a coolant leak (the intake mani gasket) so I fixed that and removed the emissions mumble jumble while I had the carb off. Didn't do the freeze plug though and since it was running off a little, weird idle, almost like setting a cruze control @3k rpms... So I took it off the road. Gotta mikuni that I need a manual for to tune it and properly hook up the oil lines (im blocking off the gas tank returns), a ported intake mani with 2 vacuum holes on the outside of it that I'll also probably just block off, and I'm currently 1/2 into finishing putting an lsd in I got from a friend who decided welded diff is better. She's on racing beat springs in the rear and ground control coils in the front. Grant steering wheel. Nothing too much done. Should finish the lsd by the weekend, then re locate the battery while it's on the lift still (4post lift in our garage). Then just remove the rats nest and put the intake mani on until I can find a phh manual for the mikuni and I'll be back on the road. Picked it up for 1200 from a guy in MD, drive home, no leak until about a month of driving it, then it started. Has 105k miles and I love it.

Little about myself, grew up in the garage, rebuilt a 289 from a late 60's mustang that I put in my 62 mercury meteor s33, daily an 09 Volvo c30 6spd (k04 powered 2.5 I5) that I've put wayyyy to much money and time in, and after the rx7 is done I have a shell of a 1930 model a behind the garage I want to put a 5.9 cummins in and rat rod it.
And my gf also has an 04 rx8 gt
