Hey guys, I am a new member here, and new to the rotary scene as well. i have a 1981 RX7 and an 83 that i got for parts. Currently I am building the 81, I am working on the Interior and Exterior right now. Once i have my carr looking good, i will start with the engine, 12a, and was wondering what would be the best for making power with it. I have access to a machine shop and i can weld, so custom stuff isn't out of the question. what would be the cheapest/ most reliable method for having a powerband above 3k while still have alot of potential for upgrade?

Welcome to nopistons!

Exhaust is always the first answer. The stock exhaust is usually quite restrictive, and rotaries have a lot of exhaust pressure that can be set free. For more answers, feel free to start a topic in the 1st gen section.
