Hi there im richard im from new orleans, La. My friend has a 85 rx7 with a 13b and i drove it one time and fell in love it has now been sitting up for 3 years need a hood and driver fender he said hell let i got for a grand so im realy considering it. It needs some minor engine work and what not. I know nothing about rotarys but heard the 13 be is a very great motor and im willing to learn.

it runs he says it needs new injectors when try to starts it one sprays gas from where the top of the injector and the rail meet, not a hard fix interior is in great shape just some fading and needs a paint job but the fent and hood got hit by a for from a tractor. It has 120,000 miles on it i was told rotarys need to be rebuilt after 100,000 cause the lose compression is this true?

There's no magic number for when they need to be rebuilt, but generally the non-turbo motors (like your friend's 13b) last much longer than turbo, and almost always well over 100,000 miles.
If it's spraying fuel from where the injector meets the rail, it most likely just needs an injector o-ring.

ok thanks baldy ill definately try that thanks. Im a performance freak so im considering possibly modding the engine a little so would a rebuild be necesary? Sorry for all the questions im just curious.

That's what we're here for lol if it's high mileage it's a good idea to at least go through the engine before doing major upgrades. There are mixed opinions about swapping to 3mm apex seals so it's more of an owner preference for that. Porting is great for performance but there are a few ways of doing it with various outcomes.
