new to the forum and just bought my 1st RX7. My friends have owned them from time to time and I've been around them for some time. I'm interested in learning more about the RX7 and of course its engine...and its many quirks.

Car is an 1987 RX7 n/a

has a lot of lil doo-dads done to it, 5 lug conversion, s5 tails, mirrors, shifter surrond, TII steering wheel, etc. It has a cone air-filter, a TII exhaust, a Racing Beat header. I purchased an S-AFC from the previous owner and will be installing it trying to achieve better mileage out of it. He said it got him from 18mpg in town up to 22mpg after tuning the car on a dyno, thats pretty significant and I'm looking forward to those improvements. I'm focusing my efforts right now to making the car as complete as I can and as clean as I can before further pursuing other things.

Welcome to nopistons! It sounds like you got a great car, all the good stuff done to it! It sounds like suspension would be the next step, as far as upgrades go.

yeah, got a buddy of mine that had a pretty nice setup on his FC but unfortunately got t-boned and it totalled out his car. He moved on to a truck, and I'm moving onto his setup, lol

I THINK its dropzone springs on KYB AGX shocks

some brand of triangulated front strut bar

a 4 point rear strut bar setup

some bushings here and there

Suspension Technique sways

adjustable rear endlinks

a few other goodies.

My car needs some new tires so I'm thinking of going ahead and picking up some wheels while I'm at it. I like how the 5zigen FN901(I could be wrong on the acronym) look and how the rear gets a lot of concave to it. I want an aggressive look on the wheels but havent been able to find too many FC pics to know exactly what Im looking for.

Any helpful suggestions on a really agressive (within stock fenders) wheel setups would be just wonderful. I would like to spend roughly $1500 or less on wheel & tire package. Keep in mind it has been converted to the 5 lug setup.
