Hey guys I'm new here. My name's Steve.

I am building a 95 Efini RX7 type R for a client back in Northern Virginia where i'm from. It's Right Hand Drive, straight from Japan and street legal. The owner wants it to be a replica of Keisuke's car from Initial D. I'll be needing to do a lot of research... and asking a lot of questions, to finish this project, i hope you guys can be of help!

Background on me... I currently own a 95 Miata with light mods as of now, i don't have nearly as much money as my client for project cars lol. I used to own a 2000 Impreza RS with a JDM 2.0 WRX swap, hence the name WRX GC8. I am going to school at the University of Northwestern Ohio for a degree in High Performance motorsports, and I also work for a Grand am Rolex GT series team... Team Sahlen, on their pit crew.

The most difficult thing I'm having trouble with, is identifying the different body mods from the different stages and trying to replicate them. I'll start up a thread if i don't find an existing one (idk what the chances of that are) in the search for that topic. I know the first stage car has the A-spec body.

I'll put it right out there: I am a n00b to rotaries. I will likely ask ridiculous questions and totally humiliate myself, but that's how we learn right?

Anyway, here's the pictures of the car, and i'll throw a pic of my very dirty miata at the bottom.

I know that's what I get from a lot of people.

The client is an aquaintence of mine and our families are friends. He trusts me and it works out, it's WAYYY cheaper than if he were to go to a shop, and I make some money off the deal, and get my foot in the door with rotaries.

I have a lot of support from my network of friends and shops that i've dealt with in the past, plus one of my professors is a total rotor head, he'll be helping me rebuild the engine. Should be fun.
