Hey guys, My name is Alex and I'm Sort of new to RX7s, but have been around cars for quite some time. I've mostly dealt with DSMs and as my GSX becomes less daily driveable, I've decided to get a reliable rotary car. I picked up a 1986 gxl with very low miles (30k) and I have enjoyed this car so car. I'd love to meet other FC owners in the area.

to give you some backround, I've been involved with DSM for a number of years and was resident tuner at a local dyno shop (www.phillydynoworks.com). I have relocated to MD and I really don't know many car enthusiasts on the area.

Please feel free to drop a PM, I'd like to see what the rx7 community is like arund these parts.

First off welcome to nopistons.com. You will like it here. I too am in Maryland, but a little further south of Silver Spring. I don't know of too many RX-7 owners in Silver Spring, but there are a few in Southern MD(not me included). There are TONS in Baltimore and the surrounding area's up there.

Post pics of your GXL. How long have you had it now?

Hey man Im in DC Near Bladensburg MD. I have a 88 Turbo II and a 89 Conquest. Welcome to the area and welcome to the forum. I have a few places I deal with that are good (Kelly muffler good for welding, Martin & OtterBack good machine shop they do it all, Rotary Performance in VA great rotary shop). As far as your car, do the grounding and read the FAQs to get started. I will help if I can thi s is my 3rd Rx7 but first FC.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I'd like to check rotary performance. Maybe I'll take a drive down one of these days.
