Haha. Good one.

I would post that question in 3rd generation specific, or in the Performance Mods section. Welcome to the crazyness of nopistons.com

If you are concerned with spending cash do yourself a favor and sell that car now to someone who can afford one. Parts are not cheap and modifying a car "without paying out the ***" is near impossible. If you are seriously on a budget your better off leaving the car bone stock

I agree, but I think you're a little exaddurated. The guy is new so it's hard to judge by his posts, I think he was asking more about where to find deals on stuff, not how to ghetto mod his RX7.

He owns an FD, not an FC, which already says alot about his budget - So home hardware blow off valves and drilling holes into the stock airbox are out of the question.

I think you presume to much. He didn't ask where to find a deal on parts. He clearly stated "is there anything I can do to make it faster without paying out the ***" The honest answer is no. If you want to go fast it is going to cost you and that is the plain truth. If you dont belive me then you go price out a down pipe, catback, intake, and intercooler and tell me how much that all will cost you. And that is just the basic **** we are not even getting into fuel, engine managment, shop rates etc.. I've been tinkering with my current 3rd gen for about four years now. I have spent a **** ton of cash to get above 400hp.

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/index.php?...&CODE=15&CID=71 About the cheapest thing he can do is add a down pipe, cat back and a K&N drop in filter and he might gain 20-30hp. That will cost apx. $400.

So I hope that bit of advice helps you black assasin if that is what you were looking for.

Colin, you also are assuming that if one owns a 3rd gen they have money. I have known alot of poor *** people with shitty jobs who had third gens.
