Hello, I'm Karl, I drive a stock 2001 white civic, keyword is stock.

I live in the Niagara are in Canada, and I talk to Mr.Zoom who owns a FD. I'm 17 I play Volleyball, trying out for the regional Club, I play Power and Middle, and I love quicksets.

As much as I want an FD the initial price is too expensive so I'll wait. I guess I'm looking for an FC for now...but our winters are brutal, and I don't think I can afford a beater as well as a summer car at my age. FC's are good and all, but my heart is set on an FD and I either save up for an FD, or I get an FC now...hard decision but it's going to have to be made. I love FC's a lot as well. And also E30 M3's. I'm also a BMW fanatic.

This is turning into a story, hope to talk to you all and learn even more about rotories (been reading a lot past year to year and a half).

Been thinking of just buying blown FD motors for cheap, taking them apart, learning stuff, and perhaps end up porting one and rebuilding a motor for my own knowledge/experiance, instead of buying a car. So I've been reading the porting threads as well as the rebuilding threads like crazy, unfortunately some of the pics don't load up anymore so the useful diagrams don't show up and it's hard to follow the latter pages.

Anyway,

talk to you all later.

Karl

Karl,

More than a few of us Southern Ontario rotorheads drive a different car to the meets.

Actually, this summer, It seemed like half of us didn't have a working 7, sold one to buy a house, etc...

Hondas seem like popular backups, with 2 Civics and an Insight coming to mind immediately.

Hi i'm Jay, I been here since last November. I've learned alot since then have even sold my 3000gt. Now all I need is the FD. This forum has been set as my homepage, I come here first thing in the morning and it's the last website i see before i turn the computer off. My friends( that consist of 3000gt's,350z's,Comero's and big body trucks. suburbans, Yukons, Expeditions ) all think I am wasting my time on a car thats too small, has no pistons, and has reliablity issues.

Explaining the reliabilty mods, and the inticate working of the rotary engine is too much for them so i'd rather show them. Plus I don't like to ride with more than one passenger in my car so the size is ok with me.

The Rx7 is the truest form of a sports car to me, it takes a Special breed of person to understand these cars. Styling, handling, and performance. On these levels the Rx7 has been ahead of it's time FB, FC, FD. There all examples of A true sports car. and ohh yeah

THE--- 7--- CAN'T--- LOSE

Tyson,

I see, the Canadian Regional section on the forum seems pretty dead here so I wouldn't really know. I do browse the Canadian forum on rx7club but only occasionally so I may have missed some threads about people selling their 7's or them not working.

I do know that some of the RX7 guys are meeting up at the Signal Drift event? or are there changes... also a Shannonville track drag meet. Maybe if Mr.Zoom goes I'll tag along, going alone isn't a attractive sounding plan when I don't know anyone eh.

About the Honda, it is actually my brothers, he shares it with me equally, but I'm looking to get my own car so I can spend my spare time/money on something that's valuable to me.
