Hey

Been a member for a while, but I've been busy on local boards. I currently have an s14. My husband has a very clean fc, so I dabble in rotaries every once in a while.

Newbie to the site, just recently inherited 1987 very clean RX7 with less than 80,000 miles. I have discovered that it is smoking and may be due to Apex seals. Looking for suggestions on how to repair the problem.

Hey d00ds, my name is Luke. I live in Melbourne Australia. Going to uni studying maring engineering at the moment.

Just bought myself a series 4 RX-7 from Ben in Adelaide who works at REVS. It's had a transplant and now runs a series 5 13B turbo, freshly rebuilt with an extended race port job. It's making a happy 170kW at the wheels

Farly stock all around as laws are getting so strict in Aus regarding car modifications so still stock ECU and intercooler. But that will soon change! hehe

Looking forward to reading/posting on this forum!

Cheers guys,

- Luke

Hello,

not sure how ive missed out on this site for so long but here i am. i have an 86 rx-7 i bought it about 4 years ago and have drove the **** out of it. i had to park it finally about 6 months ago b/c i lost my D.L. for a bit. its ok though its time for a clutch anyway and while im at it it was smoking alittle so may as well go through the engine as well. if anyone has some tips they would like to share on the forementioned project id be happy to hear ive never tore into a rotory before.

Found this site while browsing RX7club, and thought I'd give it a go ^^ So far, definitely happy with what I see. I picked up my '86 GXL from a friend almost 8 months ago, Sunrise Red, with about 135,000 on the chassis and about 80,000 on the motor (Second go from an '88 GXL, the original block is in storage, blown Apex's... I love cheap donor cars xD) for a whopping $1200 (having friends is handy )

Anyway, lately the Rex has become my DD, since the Ford is about on it's last leg, and it's still running strong, all things working including the orginal AC with R12. Soon, she'll need a clutch though, since when he changed the motor he reused it (spotted flywheel, worn friction disc + pressure plate, sticky pilot bushing) and I'm dreading it.

Love the cars though, unique, fast AND gorgeous!

Howarya lads,

Im new to this site, and kinda new to rotaries,I got my first fix back in may last year, but unfortunately im up to a €100 a week chronic rotary addiction

Its a 95 FD with veilside andrew racing alloys, burnout front 99 spec bumper, and basically bog standard everywhere else, even has factory airbox and exhaust!!!

It blew the second month i had it,but i had budgeted for this in the price, eddie doyle re-built it for me,and its got a pfc and mapped for 95 ron.

Anyway great site,

James

Hello rotorheads!!! I have been on rx7club for quite a while, but it is time for a change. So I figured i would give this a try. Anyways, I live in T.N and I have always loved the rotor. I own a 88 S4 turboed swapped vert with your laundry list of rotory mods. If anyone is close to Knoxville that I dont know, send me a message.
