Hi! I'm Jacob Potts. I live west of Big Stone Gap, Texas, USA. I am especially interested in turbocompounded rotaries, in an automotive application like
The Ariel Atom
The Caterham
Images courtesy of and copyright to their respective owners.
I love the idea of high (or is it low?) power-to-weight ratio.
I want to learn as much about the rotary as I can.
Jacob :-)

<novel> Hi!
Lisa from Ontario, Canada, here. Just logged on to NOPISTONS for the first time today and I'm also a member of RX7club.com (for a week or so now).
I'll be picking up my 83 Mazda this Sunday. Excellent body and interior condition - NO RUST and almost NO WEAR. $2200 CDN, not certified (although, I'm fairly confident it will pass without too much trouble). I got it started smoothly, but it was revving so high and as soon as I got off the gas, it stalled out. So, at this point I am not sure what shape the heart of the car is in. Tips?
I am familiar with rotary basics - I went through high school for auto mechanics (that's what I wanted to do) and I had a boyfriend who ran 1st Gen RX-7's. However, I have so much to learn so I will be referring to these forums frequently for technical support starting next week.
Before I hand over my money, can anyone offer some basic advice on what to look for visually (on everything but body and interior) when personally inspecting the car?
Short/Long Term Plans: get'er running, then audio & interior
I'm looking to network and meet new friends in the local and surrounding areas who are interested in talking about and learning/teaching rotary basics etc. I'll be shopping for parts. Suggestions and referrals most welcome.
Pics to follow. : )
Thanks for the opportunity!

Hello,
I'm new to the site and also new to owning a rotary. It's been my passion since I was 14-15 years old. I'm now 26 and recently purchased a 1976 Mazda Rx4 with 13B engine. Up here in Connecticut, this is a rare find. I actually bought from a guy I have been bothering for past 5 years to sell me it and he is recently going to financial troubles and decided to sell me the car.
I'm thinking about setting this thing up for 1/4 mile action. We have a 1/4 mile track in Atco, NJ and also Englishtown, NJ.
I joined this forum to get expert advice on my project.

Hi. I'm new also. Just picked up an 88 SE for $315. Now I have something to do with that extra 23 minutes I have each week. Haven't had a rotary powered car since I sold my GSL-SE in 1990. Before that I had 2 RX3-SPs, a 92 GSL and a '78 RX-4 sedan. Back then, I lived on Long Island, home to the worlds greatest ever rotary oriented repair shop, Rotormotive, now closed. I would love to find other rotor heads in the Cecil County, MD/Newark, DE area or there abouts. I have lived here for 17 years have NEVER seen an RX2, 3 or 4 on the road.
