Hey everybody! Dave here. I just got my FC a couple weeks ago.. It starts, but runs bad. I'll be looking around here, asking a bunch of questions, and trying to get this thing back on the road. It had quit, and was sitting for a couple years. When I first looked at it, I discovered after replacing the leading coil, and the computer (under the passenger floor), that it would run. Compression is lousy on one rotor (80-30-30 - using the standard tester for piston engines), so I'm guessing an apex seal.

Anyhow... I'm hoping for some good advice and direction to get this one back on the road.

with 2 low #'s , i suspect an apex seal, not a side seal.

Where in NC are you?

Welcome aboard

apex seal yes however there is compression there wich can be caused by a stuck side seal and or corner seal or apex seal. just pulled down a race motor that stuck a corner seal and had 10.0 bar,0 bar, 0 bar

HI, I just moved back to NC myself. I have an FD and an RX-8 and trying to find a Rotary group within reasonable driving distance of Fayetteville. If you know of one that already exists or are interested in starting one I'd be glad to join. I've done a fair amount of work on my FD and would be happy to supply any support I can.
