Hey everyone,

My name is Rob and I live in Raleigh, NC and am currently attending NC State University studing mechanical engineering. I am also a member over at RX7club.com but decided to branch out since some of the stuff that goes on in that forum pisses me off, hope its better over here. I own a 1993 RX-7 that wasn't in the greatest condition when I bought it so I really wanted to restore it. It has about 60,000 miles on the body which is in pretty good condition, pretty decent paint and no bad dings or anything. Mechanically the car was in a bad way when I purchased her. Since I had very little experience with these cars I sought out someone local who is knowledgable and he has been helping me ever since.

The car has been under construction for the past year so here is some of the stuff that was in the car and the stuff going in. Have a new engine from Malloy Mazda, Aspectuning GT35R kit, Apexi PFC, some fuel upgrades, RE VMIC and intake, RB catback, etc. Also have some koni yellows, RB swaybars, and tein s-tech springs I am putting on once I get the car back.

I hang out with the guys and gals in the Mazda Sports Car Club of North Carolina on a regular basis as well. We thats about it, just wanted to introduce myself and I will post some pics of my car up when I get it back in the near future.

Seconded! Welcome aboard man. Nopistons is smaller, more laid back, and has just as manny knowledgeable people (if not more) than rx7club.com.

I agree sweet7. You know the more population you have, the more idiots you have. We do have idiots here, but we at least have SOME knowledge. We like to have fun here.

Good intro also Rob, and we want some pictures!! Welcome to nopistons.com

All you new guys take note of this fine example of an intro. Welcome and don't mention to much that you get help with your FD, the FC guys like to use it as ammo.

Oh yeah and this place is heaps better.

Thanks for all the compliments on the intro and for the warm welcome . The VMIC has been the main thing holding my car up, the radiator is not quite fitting right, but everything else on the car is pretty much done. I am going to be really cautious with the car when it is finished, as I am going to get it transported to a shop 3 hours away that is Power Excel certified that has a Mustang Dyno and get them to tune it. Just ordered a new digital camera so I will hopefully have pics up soon.
