Hey All, I just came into possession of an FB I just couldn't let slip by.

To sum up, it has 60k original miles, and cost me $650.

If that's not enough, here are some pictures:

I look forward to learning about all things rotary and RX-7!

Thanks!!

I bought the RX7 from a super awesome vietnam vet. Titling it is going to be a hassle, since he might have lost his title, but I just couldn't let this car slip out of my fingers.

And I'm going abroad (to japan) in the next month (another reason why I shouldn't have bought it), I won't even have time to drive it

If you can get the previous owner to go with you to the DMV, it shouldn't be a problem. He can get a replacement title, then have it transferred to you.

Well, the problem is he left town, because he is battling cancer, and flew out for some chemo. He was sure he had all the documents ready and signed up, but just couldn't find them. He and his wife have looked, so what I asked them to do is just search for it every once in a while, and if they find anything, to let me know.

I'll most likely deal with the whole problem after I get back from abroad, but that's a whole year in the future... I don't think that's going to help my case.

I've looked into getting a bonded title, and it doesn't look like too much fun.

Dunno if you've already looked into it, but PO (or someone representing him) can get a replacement title by mail:

Yeah I did. The thing is, I think when he bought it, he had another lady that was also signed on to the title. I've already gone to the DMV (regarding another car), and realized that you need ALL parties involved in ownership to be present to do something like that.

I actually got a call from him today, I'll give him a call tomorrow, and see exactly who is on the title, because if it's just him, I'll be able to possibly get his wife to represent him at the DMV.

Oh, and for the record, I did look that up. But thanks anyway for doing some research for me. You people are gonna make me lazy
