Hey all,
Realized I've been watching these forums for a while, digging through the veritable treasure trove of information and still haven't really introduced myself (plus my post count is tiny for the amount of time I spend here reading). I'm 21, live in Vancouver, Canada and my car is...non-existent. Need some financial stability before I actually get a car but since that's all coming soon, I've got my eyes on a couple Series 5 Turbo cars. Until recently I had pretty much no exposure to cars, tuning or even just doing basic wrenching because my parents were about as mechanically savvy as lemurs. So in the car world I'm a late bloomer but I have a near-obsessive passion for anything from exotics to muscle cars to imports. I've got a pretty heavy physics and chemistry background so maybe I'll end up making cars someday, who knows? As for cars that interest me for tuning, elegance of design is of the most interest to me so fat, lazy pushrod engines (while enjoyably fast and loud) take a backseat in my mind to little turbocharged imports and especially rotaries.
So that's why I'm here. Once I actually get a car and some tools you'll probably be hearing from me much more often, but until then I'll be reading, chiming in, and asking a question or two.
