I have a 79, and i've done everything i can to it, when i just noticed that over 5 grand, i burn loads of oil. i need a rebuild, or new engine. What kind of engine is the best to drop in? where do i find a used one? and how much is a rebuild?

They do tend to burn some oil, as a means of lubrication. Replaicng the 12a is the easiest solution, there are many places to get rebuilt engines, and shops to have them rebuilt. A minimum rebuild should run around 1500usd-2000usd.

A google search for rotary engine rebuilders should give you plenty of options to choose from, personally, I like Pineapple racing, I also hear good things about Atkins rotary and JR's rotary.
