Athens / GRE - Greetings
Hello everyone !
Recently joined the lovely Nopistons.com - keep up the excellent job done !!!
I recently built my RX8 from ground zero - bought the rolling chassis, no engine, no gearbox.
I added plenty of love, assembled a Y16M-D box new parts allover, assembled the 13B Cosmo 231ps engine and rolled tuning to top the repair.
At the moment (08.01.2017), I have completed a 1,200 mile road mileage and car is super !
A few parts around the chassis need to be replaced (i.e. shock absorbers, disc brakes, etc.). Other than that, I love this car ! Ever wanted to own one - unfortunately, in my location, owning special cars / sports cars / luxury cars / performance cars like RX8 are extremely taxed in the annual tax report we all submit.
Hence, here we are - owning the RX8 in the opposite way around, i.e. instead of buying one, build one from zero !
I have uploaded some images, restricted due to the max. upload size of nopistons.com. However, you can get a clue
I love this car so much - ever dreamed of owning one, other than repairing the customer's cars.
I keep on thinking of building a 4-rotor unit and when ready install it in the SE chassis.
Anyone got pointers, in terms of quality parts, engine and so on, that will make this possible - you are more than welcome to contribute, p.m. me.
Thank you,
