Hi my names Jonnie I'm 22 and live in lame INDIANA yeah corn town.

So story short Ive been search high and low for a project car for the past year since work and life are good I just needed something to do. I looked at Conquests, 240z, 240sx, imprezas, even BMW 325is and so forth. If it was rear wheel drive and under a grand I was looking at it. I don't see the need to pay over 1000 for a project car. Since I plan on dropping some coin in it to begin with.

Today I just bought a 90 Rx7 NA 5spd 95% clean. There is a little surface rust in the spare wheel bay and a minimal amount of surface rust on the rails that IS NOT through were some douche decided to jack it up and bend the joint were the rail lower meats the outer rail. The car is really clean. Aside the 1 rip on the driver seat and the missing plastic around the steering column, from some moron putting on a super cheap racing wheel, the interior is really clean and complete. The car runs but not well and the way its running it sounds like seals. It was gushing coolant but I figured that one out the line from the reservoir to the rad was cracked. It has a lot of lag right after start up where the motor sounds muffled or suffocating. There are 2 dents smaller than a pea on the body. The driver door handle is loose(like not connected at all, haven't gotten into it to try and fix so I really don't know whats up with that. The drains around the hatch are clogged, really need to fix that anyone know how(haven't tried just like the door). Ive had the car for a total of 7 hours now and Ive only spent 20 min with her. YES its A HER.

Now the real question is what to do what to do. No V8 thats lame and overdone. 3rotor is probably too expensive. That leaves 4g64 or a jdm 13b turbo II motor. I have semi limited resources since I don't want this to become a money pit. I want a reliable weekend toy car that can drift when I want it too. Its really clean which sold me since I dont want to just polish a terd. The lights are stuck up and one is missing some plastic. The rear spoiler is broken from someone lifting on it like a moron. Going to make a junk yard run next weekend since I work all week. I am a full time factory worker for the enemy. LOL I work for Subaru here in Lafayette, IN making Legecys and Outbacks. I decided to join a few rx7 forums for the community so you might see this again else were. Don't worry your book marked(all of them are)

O and I have PICS more to come next weekend.

Did I mention I got it for $500 bucks!!!!!!

Glad to have the warm welcome logansport is about 30 min farther I think. The 2nd closest freight is in nobelsville I think. I might have to come out that way sometime. Any places around here that port rotaries?

Look a little pricey. What do they charge for port work? Or should I just use pineapple templates and do it myself? Might use them for a tune in the future though.

check out their site at banzai-racing.com or just give them a call. it's a husband and wife team, chris and elaine, and they do excellent work. most of my cost was parts. frome turbo and all related parts, to a new radiator, transmission, and housings lol. they did a TON of work for me

Thats cool I didnt check it out. Like I said its alittle more than I would like to spend. Im still debating the turbo 2 swap option. But I dont know yet. Id like to find a fair priced T2. So over priced online for a s5 motor.
