Is a 1987 RX-7 rotary engine reliable that only has 98,000 miles.. Does it have alot problems or troubles or do they run smooth?

If they do sum what have engine trouble what usaully would it be?

Are they expensive or cheap to fix aswell ?

Does a 5 speed trany ever have any problems ?

Honey, that really depends on the car, and who you ask. Do you know a mechanic who can work on a rotary, or do you yourself know how to work on them? I don't really know the nitty gritty on the work needed, but I can tell you it's not always cheap.

there's too many factors..

and too many possibilities when they have mileage like that.

it really comes down to "how well maintained was it?" and imho, i think this goes for any engine and/or tranny. not just the rotary and the FC's 5speed tranny.

Give us a location of where you live, and somebody can point you in the right direction of a ROTARY mechanic.
