So I'm in Iraq, didnt expect to do much racing, but oddly enough it happened.

So my team and I are manning the radios, waiting for something interesting to happen, which is our norm, If there isnt **** going on. Its about 0200, or 2am for you unknowing types. And we get a call about a vehicle, out after curfew, speeding excessively. Thinking this guy is up to no good, we called up some birds (helicopters) and hopped a ride to this turbo's last reported grid. I'm riding on the "hot seat" of an OH-58 (think the DELTA guys in Black Hawk Down) and one of the guys says he sees the vehicle. Sure enough, I look at where he saw it, and see a car straight hauling ***. We radio the chopper pilot, and drops down to about 15ft. off of the deck, and opens up the throttle. We slowly gain on him( doing roughly 150-160knts) and as we get clooser I notice its a good looking car. Things are kinda blurry and my NVG's are a bit washed out from the lights of a near-by town. But when we got within rougly 100m or so, my buddy goes "Isn't that a Skyline?" Sure enough, I take a close look and its an R33 (turned out later to be a GT-R believe it or not). So we slipped up next to him, then got ahead of him, turned the bird sideways and the helo. pilot damn near parked it on his hood as he slowed down. Long-story short we got the car stopped, thats about the details I can give...but I figured some of you guys might like that story, especially GreyGTC.

No sorry guys, thats about all i can say. Not that the rest of the story is all that interesting, its just gay little details about certain stuff they dont want us to talk about.

But I'm thinking the guy was possibly Kuwaiti, hence the car. I've spent some time in Kuwait, and anyone else who has can vouch, the cars and racing scene there are amazing. Seeing Skylines, Supras, FD are a daily thing. Ferrari's, Lambos and Porsches are pretty common there too. Hell this deployment when we were staging in Iraq, had to take a little trip from one camp to another. Within 5 minutes on the road I saw a Gemballa Porsche and a couple of very expensive Mercedes AMGs. Also the cars there are dirt cheap, If there was a way to import I would. The guy that does someone of the internet stuff at one of the camps in Kuwait drives a nice MKIV Supra, basically BPU. He said something about picking it up with 65,000km on it for like $13,000 USD.

Bad *** story bro.

Yeah I also know of the type of cars that those guys have. Ive seen tons of vid clips of those guys over there....bikes vs skylines, MKIVs vs Lambos. To me the funniest thing is seeing these young dudes in the full outfit...turban and ankle length sheaths standing on the side of the road as the cars go by.

Anyway.....just drop a big *** bomb over there and come on home.
