Who would win?

Here's my experience with the WRX:
Experience 1:
2nd gear rolling - Even to the end of 2nd, I started pulling hard by the middle of 3rd, shut down at end of third with about 3 car lengths on him.
Experience 2:
Freeway, downshifted to 4th walked him like I walked the S2000 the night before.
They are fast, if your fly'n over dirt and sliding sidways around a turn.
93 CYM R1 - daily driver
Fresh Engine Rebuild
New Turbos
HKS catback, and that's it

Excuse me FOOL???
watch it!
2nd I missed by .2 ******* liters...
3rd...
I hate lineups like that....
Chevy guys saying the new 03 cobra isnt fair cause it is supercharged
so it is a supercharged 281 vs a 346. I hate lineups like that.
The cars are being compared because both are capable cars. But they are in different classes.
The RX7's are put down as 1.3 liters.
the WRX's 2.2 2.0 who cars... thats still .7 to .9 liters difference.
my vote still goes the same way FD!
Next time be a bit more friendly when choosing your words.

at the time when the wrx first came out my friend bought one, and for a while had the fastest in the midwest. i've driven both cars, i have a 3rd gen myself and the wrx FEELS faster, but isn't by FAR. The launches on a wrx are sick, simply put. when everyone is saying that a wrx would stomp a rx7 to the 60ft mark is correct. thats where the wrx's shine, unless you blow gears in the wrx, which is really easy ( trans' SUCK ). to put it in words that can be easily understood, both the cars were g-teched and i think you all know the answer after that on who would win, street or strip. can you say 3rd gen?

what u guys think? Subaru Imprezza WRX vs. 3rd Gen rx7, both stock?
my bet is that wrx would beat rx7 off line(due to 4wd), but rx7 catch up? - more streamlined, not as heavy?

did anybody compare the bs #s the factory put out for both cars?
well just an idea.....
One thing I think you guys may be missing(and hopefully someone knows) is the gear ratio on both. I dont know if the tranny in the WRX is shared with the 2.5RS but if it is, thats a very bad thing. I've driven the RS and felt it had way, way too short ratios. On the other hand FDs have what feels like a better matched or taller ratios.
Again, just an idea
