My friend just got a stock 92 Nissan 240sx, and I have a stock 1989 Rx7. At first he claimed he would blow me out of the water... i talked some sense into him, so now he just thinks he'll take me "fairly easy"

They come with 156 horsepower, ive got 146.

I would be one to give the rotary the benefit of the doubt, but what do you think?

 

If you've got an '89 Rx7...you have 160HP and yes, the Rx7 will win. My buddy had a '95 240sx, and I beat him w/ my 177HP '88 SE.

 

stock 240sx are SLOW

 

my friend had an 89 240sx with a big muffler

and a filter,,,i dusted him with my (R.I.P.) 5.0GT(auto) stock

 

I destroy 240sx's on the highway all the time in my gxl. not stock though.

 

a 5.0 vs a 240 is no race at all...



I give the nod to the RX7 in this case though....



I know the last 240's only had like 150 hp I think....



His is gonna be slower than the last model...

Though is he an auto or stick?

 

... not too long ago i ran against a 240sx.... and i'm sorry to say that i got spanked..... i have an 88 GTU....

well i am sad to report that i've tried this one..i have an 85 gs, automatic, and my friend has a 5 speed 90 240....and he spanked me like a newborn baby...although the fact that my gtech says that i'm running 13 seconds 0-60 might have alot to do with it

 

Still give it to the RX7 if the 7 is a 5 spd.





last 240 I raced was a pretty easy kill...

last 300 I raced was an even easier kill (nope it wanst a turbo)
