i went and test drove a vw gti yesterday. it turned out to be a decent car. on my way back to the dealership i stopped at a light and u pulled a new, ugly as hell, hatchbck civic si. guy inside looked over and revved a couple of times. i looked over to the dealer guy sitting next to me figuring hed say something abot how bad racing was. nope. he actually smiled and told me to go for it. the civic beat me off th line by a bit because i didnt drop the clutch, after that i hit 2nd gear and pulled on in a little and by 3rd i caught him and was 1/2 a car ahead...i shut down at 60 but i think i would have kept pulling on him.. nic to know vw can beat a civic and that some car dealers are actuallycool

i think imgetting it next week.... im waiting for one to come in with the 17" rims with piot sports... its only a 400$ option so im not gonna take one with 16"s... and im debating getting an apr chip for it. only thing is iwant to keep te car for awhile and chipping it might notbe a great idea

r u gonna get the v6 or the 1.8t. there is also the 25th aniversary edition out right now thats comes with rims and recaro seats and six speed box.

 

the anniversary edition is sold out.. and out of my price range as well... i drove the turbo and vr6... the 6 has more torque and sometimes feels faster but you dont get that turbo kick. also the vr6 does noticeably feel heavier than the 1.8t. im going for the turbo. it also looks like im going to have to go aftermarket on the rims cuz you cant get 17's without the sunroof and it takes away all my headroom (6'3) which is fine cuz they changed the 17's to those fat stubby ones this year from the jetta.
