I was doin my dayly beating of the rx and a dam new stv rustang pulled up behind me and than passed me before a light. So of corse I followed. Than we toy around before a stop sign, wich leeds to a very fast back road. So im revvin the Rx and hes not revvin he holds a twenty out the fu*kin window , and takes the F... off *** end all over the place. I just shook my head and turn the other way. BTW I slaghter about any dam V6 rustang around not the 8's .. yet

 

umm good try, remember the replacement for displacement is a turbo

yeah vosko im gettin a 91' turbo j-spec engine. What do you think the cheapest but most effective mod I can do to the turbo engine??

yeah those Cobras 99-up are pretty quick... 13.3 not to shabby... rev very smoothly and have pretty high revving capability! Plus they rev VERY FAST! They are upper RPM motors... the higher the revs usually the more power... a GT mustang will actually take a cobra till 30mph but after that the cobra will do nothing but show its tail lights to the GT.

 

everything YUCA said and a FCD or reprogrammed ecu or apexi s-afc, bigger injectors. that's the easy things that come to mind good choice with a 91 engine its very similar to a 13BREW engine and should last a long time

 

I saw a motortrend TV edition of the mustang. The Cobra has like 325 hp compared to the Gt's like 250( i think, but u get the picture) The 0-60 was .01 sec faster in the Cobra, the Q-mile was also .1 sec faster. No big difference and plus my friend has a a 86 camaro z28, with about $6000 under the hood. stock it had 175hp and now 280hp. He raced the 99 cobra and beat him by ziltch, with and extra person . All mustangs are overrated. Sorry to say. but damn i like the bodystyle of the cobra, and ofcourse I'm leaving out the Shelby... Hey man start talking about your Rex (or your future one) u can see where talkig about mustangs gets u

 

he is allowed to speak from his experience, since he is a newbie he probably has very little experience and knowledge. we are on the opposite end of the spectrum so to speak. i will say it again cut him some slack.

 

cobra runs 13.3 hp 320 DOHC motor

GT's run 14.1 hp 260 SOHC

Bullitts run 13.9 hp 270 SOHC
