Now that I think about it again, I'm sure it was the altitude that caused the 8-bangers to suffer. But that's the cards they were dealt when they bought an n/a. In fact, the supercharged '04 Cobras give me a good run, but are still beatable..
LOL.. I totally forgot where you were.

I'd rather have 350 footpounds of torque than a 9k rpm redline

Rotaries can have 350 foot punds of torque and a 9K RPM redline, so watcha gonna do when....

neener neener neener

okay okay, I'll stop.

6200rpm stock redline. Stock they can run up to 6500. Better crank, rods and cam and guys are spinning over 7k near 7200 so they are not low reving like the old days.

well what does a high rev limit give you(other than a sweet *** sound )? Irather have all my power between 3k and 6.5k rpms cause you will alway be in the powerband and its not hard to get there. As long as the gearing is good, the low revving engine will be faster than the peaky engine on a track or drag strip...just my .02...cause i love rotaries and american v8s
You know I agree for most of the time espcially daily driving. But I have been to most of the Wed. night test and tune last fall. Those big 5.0's(or bigger) they spin hard.If the guys launch right they jump the 1st two gears but by the top of the FD 2nd they are caught and third the FD goes.

I watch in amazment how bad these TA ( SS) sound and burn out but man they fall hard as they get down the track .... well more than I would have thought.

And you can tell the guys on juice, they get out the hole like always then they pickup steam and stay rolling.

I have video (Which is shitty and hope to down load) of the SS against Fast Freddy

stock twins ported motor @12lbs. getting a 12.10 win on street stock Khumo's.

The camaro gets the jump but thats short lived. But most people dont gear those cars.

your comparing a stock car to a modified car though..... give that camaro some slicks and a good clutch

Yeah but considering the mods he mentioned 12.10 is freaking fast!! I just wish I knew if the SS had any mods to it.
