I live in a small town but... have freinds everywhere. about 4 months ago I purchased a bone-stock 2004 Rx-8 with the 6-speed. I was cruising around in the college town of Hays, KS last week it's roughly 11:30pm or so... when pair of headlights begin looming in my rearview. I think to myself... I'm still learning my car, ( I'm an american muscle convert...) when I see the 4-way stop coming and I'm saying. "Darn-it" no escaping this one.

Up comes a new Chrysler Crossfire with two kids in it. then I get thinking... This will be a good challenge. He pipes me and I give him a little bump to about 4500 and on it's fall I bring it back up and hold it there. on the third honk we tear out from the stop sign. first gear this car is nose to nose with me. I bang it into second and he's holding right with me right up until around 6000rpm then the RX put it down brought the tach up and started walking away. I had to be a little arrogant and the end of the race he backed off and as we were coming up on Vine St. the main 4-lane running through the center of town... I drop just to about 40 in second turn off the traction control catch the left, and kick it sideways I little tire smoke never hurt no-one, but I think it made a statement.

Forgive my Title... I meant the Non-Piston legacy... "Dork Stamp" for myself on that one.
