This story starts of just by leaving the house to get gas.I get about a quarter tank of crappy shell 91.After leaving shell i started to cruise Valley circle blvd.As soon as i turned right i spot the distinctive shape of a trans am.I give chase and catch him,i fly past at about 70mph and give him a tap of the bov.I slow down to 60mph and the trans am starts to pace me from the outer lane.I am now doing 60mph in 4th at a little over 3000rpm.The trans am was a ram air,not the newest ram air with the massive scoop but the earlir 98+ram air 98-00 im am guessing.The trans am approaches blips his throttle as if to test me i blip mine in return.The trans am downshifts and guns it,instantaneously i downshift into third.I have boost problems and i only get 0.3 bAR till 6000rpm,by which time the trans am is a car length ahead.At about 6200rpm the boost rises to 0.6bar ang im am closing the car length lead fast.At 8400 rpm i shift into fourth.The boost rushes to 0.8 bar and holding,iam now a carlength and a half away in front of him and walking him hard.At 115mph istarted to run away from him.By 8400rpm 140ish in fourth i had put what looked like a bus length on him at least and let off.NoT too bad for the boost issues im having.

Thing i've been wondering though how even are those kills. Everyone knows RX-7's can go past 140 pretty easily. Can these other cars do the same? It's not fair that you're still pulling when they haev hit their top end.

140mph is entirely within the performance range of an ls1 with 6 speed transmission.I have had a modded 02 Z28 camaro hang with me until about 160mph where he seemed to run out of steam.I would of destroyed the ram air from the start of the race if when in third i downshifted and i got the 0.8 BAR i got when ran away from him in fourth,but i only had 0.3BAR until atleast 6000rpm.

 

if it's not the large ram air, then it must've been the one below 98..... the one with the lt1 engine. reguardless.... nice kill

if he tops out, that's his problem. You don't hear them giving mercy to anything else. He got what was coming. But I don't think he topped out, I think he gave up.
