This newer Mustang GT was weaving in and out of traffic for a few miles. I was first in line at a light, and when it turned green he came whipping by at around 30-40 mph in the shoulder. So I did a 1-2-3 to 8200, and by 3rd I left him WAY behind. It took a few gears, but hey, he had quite a head start. I slowed down a little in 3rd to let him catch up, but I think he realized the futility in that.

120 mph comes up very quickly when you take every gear past 8K RPM.

Just joined this forum and saw this. Great job! That is one of the things I love about my RX-7TII that I spent less than 6 grand on so far; it kicks butt and leaves most newer so called "sports cars" in the dust that cost 7 to 8 times as much! Good goin!

Yeah, speed doesn't cost as much as people always say it does.

I was hoping to get lined up next to him, but I'll take what I can get. I don't usually get a chance at a good race.

You still haven't gotten the pipe? You should just make a cheap one to get running if that's the only thing holding you up. I was thinking about getting rid of the T-78, but I don't think it's worth it to switch right now.
