well was out just messing around kind of cruising out on a local stretch of highway. Well ran across a few weak races. But this part of the board seems dead so I figure I would get some attention in here. The first up was some punk kid in like an 85 Trans am auto 305. The car sounded pretty good even looked a bit mean. He kept annoying me and riding in my blind spot. So I slowed down he caught up and we both punch it. I hear his exhaust roar. I hit 3rd.... dont know what happened but man he was all of a sudden pretty far back. Keep in mind he really was not even keeping up anyway. So later in the night another Generic Motor challenge. 2.8 V6 Camaro. Why do I attract slow cars and ********? Well he keeps blipping the throttle next to me. So we both finally punch it. Well.... raced honda's faster than that. So we move on 1 hour later. 02 Lightning and 97 Cobra are at the light so I get up with them they both launch and get the jump on me we race till about 80 when I shut down they are rougly 3 car lengths ahead. I am proud to have just hung with them. Only one ricer kill of the night a 94 Red riced out Prelude stick. He was being an *** and flying through traffic so I had to mess with him. We get onto the main highway and we both punch it from 40. He starts falling back and I shift to 3rd fly in front of him and just tap the brakes to let him know I won. Well he flies into the next lane and punches it. I am coasting down from speed. He begins trying to do a ricer flyby. I hate that. So I punch it and he pulls his door to my front bumper before I begin pulling back up on him and pass him again. Man that had to suck for him. Well I hit the brakes and got off the highway as I did he flashes his brights and swerved towards me. I just let him go though. Did not feel like wasting anymore gas on this idiot. Sore looser. Oh well was fun shutting him down. Was kind of hoping he would hang in there better. So much for that.

Oh and a side note I raced my buddies SI again. He found out he was not as fast as he thought he was. His first comment after the first time we raced was "she aint that slow she ran right with you. Better watch it I will beat you this summer" Well after the last race where he flew by me at around 80 and I caught back up he simply said "well you have a V8 and I only got a 4 cylinder" I checked the weight of his car and mine. He is around 3028lbs. I am at 4216lbs. Lot of weight for me!! Oh my check engine light is still on too!!! lol

 

sounds like fun, wish i could run into like 10xxxxx races in one night. nice kills too, i wonder how well u would have done against the cobra and lighting if u were there when they started..

 

Look for Eric Cheatham out there. He likes to race.

 

I had one of those 305's in my Trans Am before I yanked it out, they were only rated for 150 hp, Im finding the Cobra/Lightning story hard to swallow though.

 

Actually your right the Lightning and Cobra should have pulled a fair amount on me. The kid in the Cobra did not know how to drive it I can tell you that. An older GT like me should of not been able to keep up like I did. But then again the Cobra's are faster in the topend. If you look at their torque specs they actually make a bit less than the 5.0's did through 87-95. So it could be since I shut down at 80 that he could of began pulling from me harder.
