One of the guys recently sold his car and got a vett + LPE mods, ran something like 10.80's @ 127Mph on street tires a few weeks ago. His car was in the shop, but his buddy Mario and him were out in Mario's Z28. Fully built small block + 200shot of nitrous running some wide *** slicks in the back. I've been wanting to line up with the LPE C5 for a while, but since he didn't have his car out we couldn't race that nite...
About 50 of us were chilling in a parking lot waiting for it to get late enough to go out to one of our many spots and do some racing. One of my buddies walks up to me and says Mario wants to race you for 15 cheese chilitoes and he wants to do it right out here on main street so everyone can see. My buddy had already negotiated him to cheese chilitoes (beef buritoes) since I never race for $$$. I told him ok, lets go from a 40 roll, Mario was like no, how about 25 roll. Well I wasn't sure if 25 roll was going to be a good speed for me, so I asked to make a practice pass, 25 roll turned out to be a good speed about 5500 rpm in 1st
(I also find out that my friend misunderstood Mario said 50 cheese chilitoes, not 15, but oh well, whatever, I was hungry too!
I made a practice pass, Mario made a practice pass, several people thought I looked faster... (I found out later Mario sandbagged the practice pass). anyways we roll through an intersection @ 25Mph and punch it, I pull on him at first cause I think he bogged, but then he hit the spray and went freaking flying by me like I slammed on the brakes.
Mario said I was such a good sport about getting whomped he would let me off easy with only 30 cheese chilitoes, so I went through the drive thru and ordered the 30 cheese chilitoes and a large pepsi while several people video's. Took taco bell about 15 minute to fill the order, the car in line be hind me were PISSED! oh well, I guess people get pissed easy when it's 2am and they are hungry...hahah
I brought the 3 bags of chilitoes back to the parking lot and we all chowed down.
Guess that is one way to cure boredom while standing around bullshitting...
I'm supposed to line up with the LPE C5 next weekend... this outta be fun, I'm not sure If I want to go from a 45-50 roll (2nd) or a 75 roll (3rd). Either way it should be fun!

PS earlier that night I lined up from a 70 roll with another buddy on his 100rwhp CBR600 and spanked him good...
