Ever since I started moding the RX, my dad has always told me that I could never get it as fast as his M. Hes got a 99 M Roadster with an intake and chip in it. Whenever I used to drive it, I always felt that it was a fast car. Its got the power through the whole power band and its soooo smooth. So, I drove the car before we raced and I told him that the car feels slow to me now. He says no way and takes my car out for a spin. When he got back, he told me that he thinks it would be a close race, so I said lets go.

We took it out to a straight away and came to a complete stop. He counted down and we took off. I was surprised as hell. We stayed together for about a half a second and I just took off. He has traction control so I would think he would get a better start, but I guess my new clutch helped. Every gear, I pulled about 2 cars in front. He told me that he was saying to himself "Okay, next gear, I'll catch him."

He said that he stopped at 100 and flashed his lights. When he flashed his lights, I was about 4-6 cars in front. I know the M does a 13.7 1/4 stock and 0-60 in 5.8. No idea what it does now, but all I can say, he is buying a third gen now

Oh yeah, also got the car running alot better than when I took it to the track last week.

It sure suck when a car worth 1/2 as much as the one you have busts your *** handily. You realize, of course, that your dad will not rest until he has something that will beat you. I just love that father-son bonding. Nice kill.
