Well, this wasn't exactly a kill, but wasn't a loss either! I was just going down the HWY when this blue 2000 or 2001 MR2 Syder came up next me and burned it to about 80....I didn't run him yet, because we were coming up on a stoplight(I love this stop light....major hwy, w/ a 55mph speed limit :))...anyways, he got a car length ahead of me because we were sitting in traffic, then when the light turned green, he weaved in and out of the cars in front of him(mostly bigger SUVs), and I soon followed, we were doing about 40, when I shifted into the 3rd, I'm assuming he did too(those things might be 6speeds)...and we gunned it...the funny thing is...NEITHER OF US WERE GAINING ON EACH OTHER! I mean, this is a brand new Mr2 syder against a 14 year old or so Rx7 SE w/ original exhaust(haven't completely finished exhaust yet)....we just rode next to each other on up to around 90 when I let off to make my exit, oh well....maybe next time when I have exhaust I'll pull on him, lol.....

@ 40mph...my car does not like to go into 2nd because it would be shifting to high into the RPMs...the powerband on an NA rx7 is between 40 and 70 in 3rd......but yea...2nd would have been better....

lmao. i just raced an MR2 Spider going to work. i wasnt really paying attention when i was at the red light, excpet that he kept on looking at me. He took off line hard, he caught me off my guard, but i punched it, and by the middle of 2nd gear i was right next to him, i passed him shifting to 3rd. he didnt seem too happy. i truely thought they ran harder. i hear they are competition to the Celica GTS, but that has to be bullsh1t or this guy just cant drive. My friend just bought a 2000 GTS and he put Catback 2.5'' exhaust, and intake, and by 3rd gear he is easily a car - car and a half ahead of me....

nobody ever wants to race my gtu, i think they are scared cause its LOUD and has stock catback on it..... they must be like oh no he's not a ricer his car must be somewhat fast 
i think there is just nobody stupid enough out there to race my FD although a mustang tried....... guess he really wanted to see my tailights
