Tonight i finally got a semi worthy kill, at 12:00 am i saw a silver 350z dropped with intake and exhaust(all i could see and hear), the 350z driver motioned for me to pull onto jericho turnpike(a a straight 3 lane highway) we ran twice and they went like this:

Run 1- rolling start in second, 350z started at the front of my bumper and punched it first, by the end of second we were even, end of third i was ahead 1car, we let off in the middle of fourth with me ahead about 2cars

Run 2- From a stop, light turned green a launched a little to high an spun most of 1st the 350z gained about half of car, by the end of second his front bumper was at my door, end of third i was ahead by about a 2cars and he shutdown before we went into third.

p.s- mods in the sig, and all of these runs were at 7pounds, i'am waiting on my powerFc to be tuned so i'am being extra careful with the boost

not to question the kill..

but curious as to how you could discern an intake from the exterior...

Some intakes are pretty loud, you could easily hear them from outside.

But thats usually hard to hear over an opened up exhaust. Sure if you are under the hood some intakes are pretty loud.

i said intake just because, when we took off i heard the normal aftermarket intake sound so i assume he has 1, unless stock 350z's make that snarl, and i say exhaust because it didn't look stock and i know my cars pretty well, although the exhaust note was not that loud.

If your in front/beside the car the exhaust won't overpower the intake sound...you can't honestly tell me you never heard an intake sucking?! ..especially on a newer car that doesn't make much other noise under the hood....
