leaving the DGTA at etown, i was behind the silver miata, we caught a red light on route 9 on the way back up. thumbs up , green light we launch both at almost no revs, he had a slight jump on me but i quickly recovered and took him by a car length by the top of second and shut down at the top of third.

again red light and he got a bigger jump on me but once again my higher revving 13B over took the 4banger, i heard him shift when i was at about 5.5krpms, thumbs up and we parted, after his passenger grinningly said "werent we supposed to leave that at the track?" lol

I would've liked to see a Miata and RX-7 go at it. Two of my favorite cars. Nice kill! Any mods on the Miata?

 

i know he had exhaust, lower rpm throttle blips made it sound rotary like, i have no idea what he had under the hood though, 4 cyl for sure though
