Right now I am at the top of the world. This morning I left early from school. Right as I was getting ready to turn on the freeway I stop next to a WS6 Trans Am. Well of course he had to rev his engine I looked over and it was on. Blew his doors off. I don't know if he was trying but I beat him pretty bad!! Then after school I ran into the other Rx-7 owner who I have never met and I thought he wanted to race me. But he chickened out and we just talked for a while.



Anyway.....As I was taking my girlfriend to the movies I was talking to her about something when all of a sudden a brand new nissan 350z passes in front of me. I see it and I had to get next to it. I have been trying so hard to race one but everyone who drives them just looks at me and drives off really slow. But this guy was different. He was asian (still had the badges on the car too...go figure!). As I was driving behind him he got onto the turning lane to get on the feeder to a freeway. I revved....he revved back and in the backroung was the voice of my girlfriend telling me not to race him. The light turned green and he turned but he was nice enough to allow me to get beside him on the feeder. We are cruising at about 25 when we both punch it. Instantly I pull on him to take about a car length. I hit second and pull harder...I miss third and he starts to cathc up.. Finally I hit third and start pulling again right on to fourth right before hitting traffic going about 100. Everyone was going slow and it was only a 2 lane road so we had to stop. I slowed down so I could talk to the guy but he sped off as soon as traffic cleared. I hate sore losers. I have to say it was my first real race and I am glad I popped my Cherry with a Z. I still love those car though.



About the other 7 again. He has a montego blue rx-7 that has dp,cb, and intake. I asked if he wanted to take the cars to the track and when I asked him what he ran he said a 17! I asked him what was wrong with the car and he said their was something wrong with his turbos. I thought iwas just because he drove an automatic but he told me that he has been in the 13's before. I really want a race another 7 bad!!!!!!!

 

now see how lucky you are to have that car??? NOW TAKE CARE OF IT :rant: ....

 

when i was taking the guy who bought my car out for a test drive, i smoked one of those with him in the car. i think that was the selling point

just curious but how far did u take 1st gear if u had time to gain a car length on him from 25. what rpm were u shifting at?

To be honest I am not sure. I was pretty much watching him and the traffic that I was coming up on. Maybe we were going slower then what I said. But as soon as I punched it I pulled hard on him!!
