Headed out with a friend of mine and his brother that was visiting from out of town, so we decided to go to the local drift spot and watch them drift. Well, Cops showed up as soon as we go there, so we figured we'd head back to the shop to see if Dragon had finished his 20B Install.



We're almost home when this Lancer EVO VI that was hanging with us decides to get bold with me. I'm at a stop light in the far left lane of a 3 lane highway. Light turns green and I go, followed by my friend in a WRX...with the EVO behind him. I'm not accelerating vigorously or anything...just gradually getting up to the speed limit when the EVO swings hard right and around the WRX at full throttle and next to me and passes me full blast...



...not to be one to punk out on a roll, I downshift and catch him at the top of 2nd gear...shift...and reel him in with 3rd gear as I pass him. Then I left off the gas so he can pass me and I nail it again and pass him in 3rd...shift...and destroy his ass in 4th gear....4 or 5 cars from a roll....the whole time during this race, I would spin tires as soon as boost came on.



He would have probably gotten me from a launch because of my 235/40 drift tires out back(still waiting on Nitto's https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif )



He was lucky it started to rain or I would have pushed it to 5th gear just to prove a point.

My EVO IV encounter.





I was cruising home after hanging out with friends when a white EVO IV started tailgating me so close I could read the aa-cup bra size on his girly's trainer. Since we were on a three lane (each way) road with very little traffic I made a quick lane change so he could go around me but to my amazement this jack-monkey made the same change and kept tailing me. Since we were in a known speedtrap area I slowed down from 60kph to 40kph hoping this moron would drive around me. Nope! That didn't happen so I slowed down to 30kph. Hell, scooters and grandmama's were passing us with ease now. It was obvious he wanted to beat up on a Honda so I prepared to play. It was his lucky day because we got caught at a light with nobody near us. Mr. Braveheart pulled into the far right lane and gave me a rev. I gave him a nod and waited for the light to change. When the light changed we both eased out up to about 20kph. As soon as he punched it I matched the effort but with a LOT of wheel spin. My lil' hamster on crack hit the 8400rpm with ease and once I caught traction after shifting to second gear that poor lil' EVO owner was probably wishing he would have stayed at home. This little escapade was over before I hit the top of third gear. I came out of the throttle a bit so he could catch up and then punched it again after he nosed me just to rub it in his face. His girl was laughing at him at the next light.

Most of the skyline's on the road aren't worth me getting bad gas mileage over...They're slow and heavy. Every now and again you get a GT-R that's got a built block/upgraded turbo's that's worth racing(TheCamel350 owns a GT-R like this)...

ive always seen the skyline as over rated and now this just confirms it for me. whats so special about a GTR? 3000gt, 300zx, and supras are just as fast from a roll

if it wasnt for awd, the skyline would be slower than the rx7, 300zx, supra and 3kgt from a dig.

Take away the awd, and the R34 would probably be lighter than the supra and 300z (definately lighter than the vr4) and around the same power output with a longer powerband. I dont know much about the handling, but from what ive heard its easily on par with the other two (again, vr4 just not a factor), if not better.

i remember them being around the mid 50's.



and theyre incredably good cars. the R32 NEVER lost a professional race that it was entered in. and ive seen a few of them get 1300+hp to the wheels.
