there is a guy here in boise who thinks he is the ****, hes got a newer lotus esprit, thinks its the turbo v8, it weighs 3043, with 350 hp, think i could take it?
I thought all the espirits were twin turbo v8s? Only 350 hp thats weak!!, For that much hp to weight ratio, and how much money he spent. Wow. Imagine the fc or fd you could build with all that $. I feel sorry for your buddy. Hell yeah I think you could take it twinturbodork!! A stock fd(twinturbo you say in your posted name)would kill that heavy underpowered piece of overpriced european crap. even though 3/4 of my blood is english. A twin turbo v8 (I thought they have 350's twin turbo) should push like at least 800 hp. Who needs european engineering.Forget about blue blood. I would give it all up to be from japanese parents!

What weight reduction have you done? 2500 lbs is quite light, even for a base.

yeah i was wondering the same thing...that's a 300lbs drop right there. id say with #'s like that you should be hitting consistent mid 12's in the 1/4, and possible a real high 11 or low 12, but only in perfect conditions. also what type of tires are you using, some drag radials and it's def 11's. but yeah like MazdaMike said go out and find out for yourself....that's the fun part, not being sure.

removed bumper reinforcements, no heat or ac, lightweight full suspension, no airbag, very well stripped down. also, that is with a full 20 gal. of gas. it was exactly 2543lbs.

tires are yokohama road racing dot approved race tires on 17x10 custom offset forgeline wheels.

I don't think it's crap. Hey, if they can put a high price tag on an NSX, why not the Lotus. It peforms much better than the NSX. Imagine too if you put an intercooler and a boost controller
