so, i was going to Bryan to buy some bolts to plug my PS, and i pulled up next to a tow truck. we look over at each other, and he revvs his monster desiel engine, shaking his whole truck. i rev a little, rocking back and forth, showing i'm ready to play. i was concerned, considering his torque is like 3 times that of mine. but i figured since it was cool my CAI might pull me past him.

the light turned green, and the streets were slick, so i only slipped the clutch at 2K. i got a good lauch with minimal wheel slip, but he still got me off the line with all that torque. once i got moving, though, i opened up to 3/4 throttle and kept her at 0 boost pressure.

by this point, i finally caught up and was past his bumper. he power shifted into 2nd (i heard major crunch). with this, i knew he wasn't playing around for ***** and giggles, this guy was serious. i opened the T2 up WOT, and by the time i hit 3rd i was boosting 8 psi and about 30 car lenghts ahead of him.

PWN3D!!! and he didn't have a car on the back, so no excuses. he just straight up lost!!

That will teach those tow trucks not to mess with us!! They need to know their place. Like towing our cars home from the track after we break them.

I'm gonna call you on that one:

If he was really power shifting, you woulda lost. You just made that part up. If the roads were slick, his extra weight would've given him the traction advantage, leaving you slipping around like an earthworm on ice. The diesel exhaust fumes alone would've kept you from going in the same direction as him! Why bother us with such blatent lies? Come back when you really have a kill! And schwinns don't count!

Bah, if he was serious he would have run you off the road!

What's sad is he could just race you till you ran out of gas. Spoke to someone a couple days ago who said he took a brand new 6.0 diesel 1 ton dually from Ford for a 5 hour drive and made 20 mpg.

wow, 5 hrs, that's impressive.

i dread making a road trip in my car. if i do, i will be stopping every 250 miles to fill her back up, and that would be getting the best gas milage i've ever gotten and running like under 5 psi, and only occasionally at that.
