Hey dude good story. I used to run but I got caught in a street racing sting in MD (Anne Arrundal County!). I was doing 95 in a 55 (a turbo Supra was doing 130 and a FD was doiiing about 100) I was in a Chrysler Conquest. They took my car and fined me over 2000 and I have my liscense suspended all because of some little girl that got killed last year by some racers so dont get caught cause its hell if you do. Now Im driving a Gsl-se that I got at the auctions but I also got my hands on another Conquest, minus the engine. I love those cars:) Yeah Im getting back in the game but I think all my fast driving will be limited to the track for now on. You lucky you live in the sticks, because they have helicopters around here and such. I got a story..

In 1991 a friend of mine had a Kawasaki Zx11 (arguably one of the fastest bikes of that year) and we were all riding on the beltway (the ring around DC) on a sunday morning doing about 100 or so (6 bikes, biker boy style just wilding through the light traffic, passing on the shoulder, splitting lanes in traffic, all that stupid ricer bike stuff) and suddenly this car (Turned out to be an unmarked police) tried to swerve into my friends Zx11, then tailgates. Well my friend (Brian) takes off like goes from 100 to 140 in seconds, and smokes the cop. He runs and we dont see him again. We get a call from him late sunday nite (jail) and tuesday when he gets out he tells us he ran and ran to the national park near here (Great falls) and parked his bike in the woods under a bush, and laid there for about 40 minutes (because by this time he had 3 marked cars and the unmarked one chasing him TV style). They got him with a helicopter and infrared. He was totally like those guys on greatest police videos, except he didnt get away either. Point of the story is unless your in the middle of know where (where the only cop for miles is a sole state trooper) your chances are very low (especially if your in a city where they have helicopters and resources to get you). So be safe (not that im a kill joy)! but anything that happens (to you or the cop or caused by the cop or anyone else) gets blamed on you during a pursuit..

stay safe and sane!

Cops are slow, the radio is not, unless you can get out of site quick in the city, don't risk it. I've done my fair share of running in the past two years (I'm 18), and one time I got caught. Only thing was, the cop that chased me didn't have his lights on until after i had stopped (got caught going the wrong way in a drive through. did you know Burger King's are only one lane with a curb on both sides?). So he yelled at me for a while, then confessed that he didn't have his radar on, but he could tell i was doing over 60 in a 50 (try 90). Anyways, i got lucky...really lucky. Only other times were when i could get out of site within 90 seconds. But yeah, nice run from them dude. Glad you got away. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
