MY RIDE:

2002 Ford F-150 Supercrew,

Harley Davidson Edition, with the 5.4 Liter Supercharged V8

MY MODS:

Recently back from the dealer, and

Currently Dead Stock – 328whp to the rear wheels.

I still haven’t put my mods back in the truck.

(Lazy + High gas prices own me)

TIME:

about 9:00 p.m., Two weeks ago, Friday night

LOCATION:

US-1 (South Dixie Highway), Heading Northbound,

Just South of the large Nissan Dealership

(3 lanes each one way only as the highway is split there)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just left Crispeed’s shop, and was heading home, Northbound on US-1.

I am just minding my own business in my truck, on the far left lane of this

three lane highway.

As I am approaching the Nissan Dealership, a new Silver G35 Coupe, barrels

out of the (left) side street, hauling ***, and fishtailing slightly, while accelerating hard.

The !@#$% @$$hole cut me off, and forced me to hit my brakes - hard.

As I continue looking ahead, I notice that it has a magnetic “Dealer” license plate

On the rear, and he has a passenger with him.

I start thinking to myself, “this ******* is trying to make a sale...”

“he’s trying to ‘show-off’ the power of the G35 to his potential client.”

I decided to return the favor to this @$$hole, and ruin his sale.

I step on my throttle and instantly catch up to the G35. He has to stop at the next light, and I conveniently pull up right behind him.

As the light is about to turn green, I hear him rev up the engine for a hard launch.

The light turns green, and he punches it with a nice loud bark from his rear tires.

I remove my foot of the brake, and step on my throttle, instantly closing the cap between him and I. I am literally 2 feet away from his rear, and have to release the gas a little to not hit him – all while he is still at WOT.

Once I have a trucklength of room between me and the lane next to me, I switch lanes and once again step on the accelerator with force.

My truck once again revs higher and lunges forward, immediately consuming the highway ahead of me, and instantly passing the G35 that is still flooring it.

As I am passing the G35, I was looking at the priceless face of both the Salesman and his potential client in the passenger seat. They were doing a double take, with

W I D E open eyes, as my 5000+lb behemoth rolled by like they were standing still. It was hilarious and very fulfilling.

Especially when they did a U-turn at the next light.

I love kills in my FB, but in the truck they seem especially sweeter. Especially when all you have to do is step on the throttle and go. I didn’t even turn off the A/C on this run. But then again, with 400 ft-lbs of torque, I didn’t need to.

I'll put it this way, you can't make a gas tank leak as fast as my Lightning will drain it when you're all the way into the loud pedal.

Nice kill, though. I thought about getting a G35. Then I drove one, then I checked prices on turbos. Killed that idea.

I like the 350Z better but it doenst have the ergo I wanted. The door sills are too high, the shifter to far away... it doesn't have the ergo of a 69 vette or an old british sports car where you can scrape you knuckles on teh ground, perfect lean when driving and perfect shifter placement.
