So cruising down the freeway at the norm 70mph (in 60 zone) I see some headlights approaching fast. Not really being able to make them out, I thought it was a cop and I was getting pulled over so I slowed down to 63 or so. It gets closer and I recognize it as a nice shiny new bright red Mustang. As he gets beside me I looked over to check for that little snake action on the side, but it was just a GT. I could hear his car over mine, pretty loud considering I run full 3" w/ a Greddy PE. So he steps on the gas a few times, trying to get me to race. He must've had a cutout or something, as soon as he TOUCHED the gas, his car got twice as loud. Being the sucker I am, I downshift into third, give it a blip of the throttle to let'em know I'm game. So we get side by side, no honking or any of that. He hits the gas and on that cue I mash it myself. We were pretty even up til the needle on the boost gauge hit 12psi, then I started pulling hard. At the end of third I slowed down and let'em beside me again. He's got the words "NICE RUN!" written all over his face. He wants to do it again though. So, same way as before. I let him go and I punch it, this time I go as far as 110 in 4th before powering down. He comes up beside me once again and has that same grin, and motions to do it again. This time I left it in fourth. He pulled me at first, but when the boost comes on he gets reeled in pretty quick, and passed before 110 (from 70mph roll or so). After powering down again, slipping into 5th he comes up again and says "Nice car! Turbo right?" I nod and he gives me a thumbs up and drives off.

Needless to say, I wish more people were like this guy. He was totally cool, even though he got beat. I'm sure I'll see him again on the road, and he'll have more mods and I just might have to turn the boost up to 15psi this time.

I for one, will be looking forward to that day.

Except he almost ran me off the road to tell me nice runs, he was a great sport about everything. I can see him buying more mods now so next time it's more even. Too bad I have more mods on the way too.

It's weird, I'm not normally one to street race, then I do it twice pretty close to one another.

I might have to make a hobby of this... Until Son gets ahold of me (Son = 10.4 @ 143 street supra).
