Killed My Best Friend's 300zx Tt

Well my best friend finally bought him a 300ZX twin turbo after looking for about a year. I convinced him to race me earlier tonight while we were heading home. His car is a 93 all stock 300ZX and I have a 94 RX-7 with a down pipe and boost controller (set on low/stock boost). We lined up at a red light and as soon as it turned green we got on it. By the end of the intersection I was a car length ahead. When I let off at 100mph I was about 5 car lengths ahead. I was amazed I put so much distance between us. We raced again at the next light and I still but about 3 car lengths between us. My best friend is really the only person I race so I'm glad he lost, it gives me a little cushion on the next upgrades.

he prob. thought he could beat you too... lol my friend pulled the same thing sept. hes gotta 78 starefire GT... and he went on and on about how he'd beat me... so i played along when we finally got the chance... he didn't wanna go but he went and it wasn't even funny how bad i did him in... he pulls likea 4cyl.

I don't know, from a roll I had to work to keep up. That thing is a torque beast! I just have a very light car and mine hooks up better off the line. He is going to get an ECU, intake, and exhaust in a few weeks and that is supposed to add 100 hp to his car. I hope I can still beat him after that...

So he's going to stage III. You wouldn't have any problems still at that level with your (RX7) setup. The 300ZXTT should put a little over or less than 300 HP to the wheels, maybe. Also you weigh about 700 lbs less. He'll have to get a boost controller and dial lets say a bar then I say it'll be close .
