I was out driving around and found this guy I know who drives a moded eclipse gst. He says he has a fmic, safc, larger injectors, cams, dp, catback, and boost controller. He also claims a 13 sec. 1/4 whan running 21 psi. We messed around a little on the strip but there was too much traffic so we took it to the highway where there wasn't any traffic. He got on the highway first since it was a single lane merge. I put it in second and caught up. When I got to the rear of his door he punched it. We were both in 3rd. We stayed side by side for a second or 2 and then I started to pull him. By the end of 3rd I had a car and a half on him. I shifted to 4th and pulled even harder. By the time I hit 5th (130 mph) I had him by something like 6 cars. This was the best race I've had in a while. It was nice to race another turbo car that had an aftermarket BOV. I was really cool to here the bov's going off. BTW he was running his low boost setting, so I think that if he was running his high boost setting he would've only been about 3 cars back.

I dunno how anyone could run 21psi on a T25, unless it was a 1st gen then its a 14b which you still really can't run 21psi on

thats what im trying to figure out, but i have heard that those stock eclipses can run a lot of boost on the stock turbo. But 21psi =13 sec Qmile had got to be one small *** turbo.

I was BSing with a guy that has a 1st gen eclipse, and he was running over 30 psi and only ran a 12 flat.

I had a very similar race last night in Austin on South Mopac. A white '99 GS-T, same mods, running 20lbs of boost from a 40 roll. Guy pulls up to me, I am in 2nd, honk three times, and we both punch it. When he punched it, the line from his boost controller blew off and he was running 25 psi and got a slight jump on me, that was quickly regained once my secondary spooled to 14 psi and held. Finished off second gear, third gear, and fourth gear. Shut down at about 140mph and had put 5 cars on him. Pulled over at the DSM meet spot and found the guy. He told me about his car and told me he was running 13.7 @ 108 mph at 18psi. Makes me wonder what he would run at 25 psi at the track. Several of the guys there verified that his time was true and everyone was baffled when I told them I ran a 16.9 the night before. They tried to get me to race a couple of the DSM's there but I just was there to watch. I love boost when it works. Also, while in the hill country, I had a run in with a Porsche 911 Turbo, driven by a ...... very good looking female, instead of your stereotypical old man with lots of money. I enjoyed having my *** handed to me. Overall, it was a good day.
