Didn't know there was such a thing as an S3. It is a non-US model? You learn something new every day...

It's the S model of the A3, basically a TT in hatchback disguise. Very cool.

according to henry over at mazdatrix i've gathered you need:

clearanced rotors

ceramic apex seals (the uprated springs are what you really need, these just don't destroy the housings with those springs, without the uprated springs the seals start floating >= 8500)

hardened stationary gears

large ports to put the power band up there

intake/fuel/exhaust to go with it

increased oil pressure, and higher tolerances on the rotor bearings are preferred apparently.

thats all i can remember atm

damn 10k would be so fun.. only thing is you can hit 80 in second gear.... third gear redline is like way illegal lol. i always wanted a s4... all wheel drive would be so much fun... especially i the rain... you could burn almost anyone from a stop

I have lots of stuff done on the motor, and spend lots, and lots of time with the planing of it.Its a proto type basiclly, to see just how far it could be pushed.I normally dont go past 9000, got way over excited. The seals are steel, was clearanced to very close specs.I`am not saying alot about the buildup, its a secret.

I thought to myself, if i break it, then it was a failure. If it makes this, then we have succeeded. And we did, Mazda came out tops, again!!

We decided to go against the norm of Bridge and Peripheral, and do a street that will be remembered. If all goes well with the injection in the end, i will be making aprox 150rwhp(which is ok according to me for a street, and it lasts ok..)

Thumbs up for Mazda!

all wheel drive is only in rain or slippery ground funny. i'd always prefer the rear wheel drive and make the awd guys furious about my drifting.

It's a 1.8L Turbo with 210HP. 6.7sec from 0-60
