Oh no your right, I know nothing about Mustangs, and I dont know of PLENTY of single cam 5.0 and stroked 5.0s either. Not even one that just ran a 9.06.

You are the only one who knows about them, please accept my sincere apologies.

And you have had DAYS now to figure out some mods, **** you could even make some up by now. But then again you have nothing to prove to us anyhow so why bother with a bunch of idiots.

I dont doubt you have the car with the mods, but it looks mighty shady when the only pic you show is a pic of your neon lights.

I didn't say 5.0s cant be fast with mods. Their aftermarket is that of a Civic's. But saying a SOHC 2v is a "**** box" shows how ignorant you really are. That would be equal to me saying "Getting power out of a 1.3L? LMAO" All you have to do for the earlier engines is change the heads and there is alot of power. Put a blower on there and there is even more.

How is neon fast and the furious? Do you even know who started using neon on cars? Hot rods, I hardly think that is ricey yo. Plus I haven't had it turned on in God knows how long.

i always thought 5.0s to be better too, i have a couple of friends with them, those newer "**** boxes" are faster in stock form. I could only muster a car 1/2 -1 car length on the **** boxes to 100, and easily had 2 on the 5.0s.

How does who 'starts using something first' have any significance here?

Currently: alot of rice has neon (and other useless crap that does nothing but alter appearance, add more parasitic loads (weight, electrical..))

pengaru, so please tell me that my car is rice. It adds weight? LMAO dude, I have a 10" sub, 3 amps, head unit, gauges, and a body kit. I guess all that stuff is weighing me down while making me rice. Look first off I never asked you your personal opinion about my ricey neon kit. I posted pics on request not to show them off. What business do you have telling me I have no taste with the neon? Are you also going to tell me to take out my sub and the rest of the things to make the car lighter? With all those I have the car lighter than it was stock. Personally I like the neon and my girlfriend likes the neon. If you don't like it thats great, I'm not sitting here asking you to throw your opinion out at me. If you don't like it thats fine, I will not cut them on when you go for a ride. Its not a big deal. And I have two 9" tubes in the whole car. What I saw in the F&F were under body kits. Hmmm maybe you should go to block buster and rent it so you can see. But through all that you have said I can understand where you are coming from. Some people like it, some don't. I'm not coming off as being harsh, just defending my car. :bigok:

The 5.0 had more low end power and torque, maybe top end a 4.6 has a bit more I dont know its been years since I drove a 4.6, but I do know that it felt alot slower then a stock 5.0 It was also the first year of the 4.6 in the Mustang so maybe now they have more power. I didnt mean a 4.6 was a **** box, I meant compared to 5.0, I would take the 5.0 ANY day.



We cannot compare a Cobra to either a 5.0 or a 4.6 SOHC however.

hot rods were known for their neon on the exterior of the car, as hot rodder magazine writer Paul DuBlair once said, "nothing has pulled the neon off like the old fords and chevy's......" you are right, neon is a prefrence thing. i had some on my USAC car audio show car, but it was slow. it seems that the more you do to "your personal liking" to your car, the more **** you will get about it. i got some on the other rx7 forum. i don't give a ****. if anyone wants to see my car run, come get some......





anyways.....dyno slips are easy to find on the I'net, and 1/4 times are easy to lie about. you have 4.10 gears? well, who knows, i am not going to ask you open up the rear and show us, but get an engine pic., and put the doubters to rest. i need more proof.



i ran a sc cobra, saleen, and 4.6 all once before. the sc 4.6 was the only one that beat me and this was at the track. my best time was 12.91 for the day. that was on reg. street tires, with only "bolt-on" mods......bottom line, and not doubting you all the way, is that all of these forced ponies were slower than they should have been. really, a s/c on a cobra 10lbs boost, only getting 13.1 in the 1/4?????? odd.......isn't it. your car is at LEAST 600# heavier than mine......you'd need that xtra HP to get you rollin....but to make it fair, i have a roll bar in my FD and a custom mounted/made sub enclosure that only uses the spare well......



i DO however like the was the old 5.0 lx coupe looks and sounds.....i want one, very clean car. they don't sound particularly hot with singles though. and adding just a cam or a port to the upper head of a 5.0 won't help much. i see it far too often here in mississippi. those cars really need some xtra juice to make them go.....

No, not mexican, 100% American. And like you said I could really give a **** less if you guys like my neon, car, or believe me. I like my car and if any of you doubt me then like you said, come get some. Just bring some money to put up cause I don't race for free. And there will be a picture as soon I get a digital camera. And yes I have 4.10 gears. I am getting a Viper T56 next and taking the compression back down, boosting more and getting 5.10 gears.
