the dsm's are horrid on the freeway. Around here there was a big fued we had going. A few times a month we would all meet up (about 50 people) and battle it out. It all started when one of them made fun of my exhaust because i didnt tighten it down well enough one day and the bolts came loose and it sounded horrid. So i beat one of them and make a joke about him whining about his crankwalk problems. lol.. after that, it was on. about 12 dsm's vs me and me, my freinds b18 bored to 2.0l turbo vtec crx, and my friends 300zx tt. By the end of the summer that year, dsm guys had to shut up, cause even their fastest guy was losing to us. 
It was great.
i have a few vids of them on my computer, they'll be posted on draglab.com next month sometime when we open it.
this one dude ALWAYS had me by like 3 cars untill exactly 60mph, then i would blow by him like he was standing still.

i guess any dsm guy with a gsx or a tsi awd should just really eat their words talking fast.... when are some of these guys gonna learn that it's really true when they say that a dsm with awd can't pull for **** at speed... the way those cars win races is from a dead *** stop... that's how they get a good hop in the 60' time... without that they don't have **** on any other cars... but it is pretty sweet when some of em can post high 11's with just over 1k worth of work in the car... please don't call bullshit because i've seen it done and there were a couple of 1st gens in my highschool that were in the 12-13 range with a cheap turbo and a gutted exhaust and intake...

my friends got a 91 gsx eclipse.. exhaust, and rebuilt turbo... thats it.. and he runs low 14's easily..btw, he never takes it over 5k rpms' ... pretty killer car.. and he baby's it.. oh 18' rims and foglights
