ok last night i was cruising around the circuit in findlay,ohio its the hot spot for for imports,muscles cars etc......anyways theres a green honda si hatchback that has an intake,exhaust,and lowered,his buddy in front of him was in a 2 door black coupe,i know for sure it was either a EX or Si, well i pull up besides them when there in about second gear and they gun it i gun it and i pull aheah so easy,we get a red light and talk and i ask him if he wanst to race for 20 bucks,lol said all he has was 5 bucks i said thats kewl,ok down the street a lil ways i ask him how far he wants to go,he said from light to light,about an eighth of a mile,i said sure,we start revving and **** both of us drop the clutch,i killed him off the line through first and second gear by about 10 car lenghs im getting about 200 feet from the finish line into third and he flys by me like i was nothing,now i used to own a honda and all my buddyies do and i know they have a strong 3rd gear but not like the way he flew by me,we opulled over at the mall and i gave him his money talked and he left and i cant understand how he won??????anyone??????help i got beat by a damn honda!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have raced a lot of honda's... most if they have any power only seem like a challenge until 60 then it is extremely easy... even the SI's are like this....

 

i dont understand it though,maybe my cats are glogged up(88 GXL) i know its the a pretty heavy rx-7,not as heavy as the convert, it was also lowered like his buddys honda with HKS springs,stock rims,intake,exhaust,right off the line he was behind me by about 10 car lenghs,about 7 or 8 car lenghs in second i was still pretty far ahead and then bang,he said his car was stock,it didnt have a emblems or anything on it,lol kinda like a sleeper??????i dunno i or my buddy's cant get over it,would a 96 and on SI Honda Coupe take my rx-7?

Have you been living under a rock for the last couple years? I can't believe that anyone would be surprised by a fast Honda. Sorry to hear that you lost, though.



BTW, FWIW, a friend of mine has an '00 SI with a 75 shot that's almost as fast as my TII, and that's with a full interior (leather) and such. Another friend of mine has an N/A '99 SI that is faster than my TII, due to weight reduction and engine work. You really have to watch your *** out there.
