Hey guys i just got done talking to my buddy, he just bought a 99 M3, i didn't get much info out of him cause we talked quick (he's excited cause he just got it). So i forgot to find out if it was a coupe or a sedan, 5 spd or auto. Well i just got done doing some maintenaince to my car and she's running awesome, its a 88 Turbo II anniversary, all stock. I told him i wanted to race him to see how it went, do i have a chance to beat him...I'm honestly a better driver than him so i know if its a 5 speed i should be able to grab him, and i'm not sure how much the auto kills taht cars power. Its a friendly race but bragging rights are the best considering i got my car with 36,000 original miles, its an anniversary edition completely stock untouched for $2000, yes $2000. While his car, well i don't konw but i'm betting close to 10 times as much (that would equal $20000 which is probably low). Thanks for the info and i'll let you know how it goes later on tonight or tomorrow.

Yeah he let me take it for a spin last night and man does that thing move! What a car, handling luxury, and POWER! Down low he definitely will have me because its a rocket off the line, but if i can launch well we'll see what happens. Its been raining since I got up here so we haven't raced yet. I'll let you guys know what happens, by the way its a 2 door,5 speed. Later!

Yeah he's 19, just bought it, it has 24,000 miles on it, its a deep purple color with gray interior, he got it out the door for $25,000. He's making payments of $800 a month (Loan and insurance since he's 19 and from Boston!) Its his dream car so I give him props for making it come true!

Your 88AE TII only has 36,000 original miles.. and you bought it for $2000? Damn.. that's a deal. I think it will be close between the TII and the M3.. good luck with it.

My friend used to have a 5spd 2 door m3 (1995) the thing MOVED! and handles very well. I'd have to put the money on the m3 (270 stock hp) and the m3's aren't that heavy....probably around 3800?
