so obviously i'm no street racer and have no experience doing such but this happened earlier tonight:



driving 7 around, stop at light in a double left-turn lane. a car pulls up beside me..sounds like a 'stang or camaro or somethin', but i don't look over 'cause i've trained myself not to tempt the devil. i don't hear any revving. light turns green...he blasts it and i see it's a black camaro...



right at that moment, something happened inside me..either a couple of dormant cajones descended or the gamma rays i was exposed to caused the left side of my brain to release some idiot juice..i dunno..but i was like, "hell no", and i'm gunning it (well, for me that is). we were now on a 3 lane 45mph street at 7:00 on a Saturday evening...there were cars...he knows i'm right on his left rear bumper and he stomps it, but i stay right there with him..another car in the middle lane coming up fast, camaro splits left while i go right..at this point we're like 80, he's got about 1/2 car on me and then my lane starts to clog up w/ traffic...i blow around them and catch up to the camaro again until we come to a red light, he signals right turn, i pull behind him intending to give the peace/nod but he darts into oncoming traffic so i can't follow [usually my move]. summary: sigh, i stayed with him but i wasn't able to pass him.



i don't know what came over me but it was very stupid considering all the traffic and the speeds we were going...if i was in one of those cars that we rocketed past i'd probably be trying to call the cops. hopefully i've got it out of my system
