I wouldn't have posted this up normally but there was a funny part to this story.

Ok so now that I've got my exhaust on (Apexi GT Spec) I've been trying to get the silencer off ever since. Well the damn thing wouldn't budge and I didn't wanna waste money on the tool to remove it. So today when I was out driving I forgot that I didn't have the silencer bolted on and this guy on a race bike came up next to me wanting to race. So in my head I'm like oh fawk he's lighter then me so I better push it off the line. So I launch at a decent RPM nothing to make my tires spin or anything and then punch it in second and all I hear is something fly and start rattling on the ground. Naturally I'm like oh fawk my silencer! Until I look to see where the biker was and he was behind me eating my dust. So then I cheered up and remembered I had to go back for the silencer. I see it on the ground park my car and run in the middle of the street stopping traffic and get my silencer. OMFG was everyone looking at my like what's his issue. Freaking Reno man haha. In the end I was surprised I could beat a biker that easy (thank god it wasn't a Hyabusa) and was like finally got the silencer off. Now OMFG is my car loud seriously.

So this can be used as a silencer removal guide for anyone else like me. LMFAO!

hehe, not all bikes are that fast. Are they? Im guessing it was some kind of cruiser not the show room floor race bikes they sell as street bikes these days.

I would have left that silencer right there! I wouldnt have noticed it falling off in the first place...

Manny has the right idea. Not all bikes are really that fast. The real fact is that I live in Reno were the bikers here are like Civic/CRX ricers. They buy a **** rocket just cause they think its cool but don't actually know what they are getting.

My car is also bone stock but it runs like it has a huge turbo under the hood. I need to take it to the track to see what kind of 1/4mile times I'm pulling. Everyone who has been in it is just like "are you sure this is stock?"

Back on the Reno note. I know some of you who visit this board are from around here and know what I'm talking about. Just to give you an idea of the people here. A Civic will think he can take me but a guy in a 05 Stang GT wont even try to keep up. Makes me sad cause most of the nice fast cars here are owned by older people so all we get to race is Talons, Eclipse, and Hondas.

not ALL bikes are fast but unless it was a 250or something it most likely wasnt a "sports bike" i mean a ninja 500r is a beginner bike and it runs sub 13 second 1/4 according to the magazines. and if it was a 600 the hondas run like 11's

a couple months ago they ran a stock 2005 cbr 600rr at 9.8 in the quarter. all real sport bikes are good for 10 second quarters. trust me i have owend a few. My cbr 600 was way faster than my single turboed 400 whp fd.

I raced a GSX-R 600 the other day. The first was from a roll at about 45mph. We were extremely close until I shifted into 4th and then I started to pull on him a little.

Then came the redlight.....

We talked for a minute and he was impressed and asked how much more I had up top I told him I just had shifted to 4th! Well the light turned green, and I must say he tore me a new one off the line, I couldn't catch back up. He was prob 10 carlenghts ahead. I just wish my FD could launch off the line like that!
